Chinese Soaring Crane Qigong is a medical qigong system that provides methods for directly accessing the healing Qi (energy) within oneself by coordinating movements and mental focus. It is based in the theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and was originated by Master Zhao Jin-xiang in the 1970's in China. Soaring Crane fast became one of the most popular qigong forms in China, and worldwide, about 30 million people now practice.

  • Join experienced qigong practitioners as we explore the theories and philosophies at the foundation of Chinese Qigong practices. In this 10-week series, Teri will present material that expounds on the teachings of various qigong forms included in her lineage.
  • Daoist and Buddhist philosophies both contributed to the spiritual depths of qigong, and we will explore how these ancient concepts can be relevant in our present lives.
  • Participation in class and homework are encouraged. In addition, the practice of Awakening Light Gong will enhance our studies throughout this session.
